About Life On Purpose
Life on purpose is a compilation of writings that emerges from experiences, past and present in 27 years as a born again Christian. My name is Mark Rogers, Christian, husband, father, minister, church employee, shooter, fisherman, and Small Group meister at my church.
My background is not one of church employment. That came about unexpectedly in 2001 when my pastor of 20 years asked me to come on the pastoral staff at Harvest Time Tabernacle, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It was a move that I never intended to make, but God had other plans and it turned out to be the next step of service to Christ in my Christian journey.
I’m 54 years old, married to my wife of 19 years, Cindy and have a teenage daughter, Jacquilyn. Outside of activities with my family and service to my church, there is nothing much I like better than shooting and fishing with the many great friends that our years as Christians have compiled. 
Online, I’m best known, and now pretty well branded as the Christian Gun Owner. At this writing, the Christian Gun Owner web site attracts well over fifty thousand unique visitors per month and is now linked as somewhat of a hub to several other of my sites and blogs. All sites that are relative to any part of that one are branded with the logo>>>
But this is the blog that will contain articles that map my walk with God, my belief in the literal commands of the New Testament, and exhortations from the perspective of a local church leader. Much of what you see written will be written from the perspective of a solid understanding that everything we do should be from a position of service to God.
Hopefully this will turn out to be more than just an outlet for me. My prayer is that it will bless, inspire, and where necessary change the reader’s life.
